What can be personalized

The standard Land of Living Skies plate can carry any approved slogan or your Amateur Radio Operator call sign. These specialty plates also accept personalization: Collector, Rider Pride, Saskatchewan Rush, Saskatchewan SPCA, Veteran and Vintage Rider. Memorial Cross, Support Our Troops and Year of Manufacture plates cannot be personalized.

Slogan rules

  • No punctuation except a space or hyphen.
  • Can't match SGI's current or future regular plate character sequences.
  • Can't fall into number/letter ranges reserved for other plate types (Veteran, Rider, Rush, Memorial Cross, SPCA, Support Our Troops).
  • No symbols, offensive/suggestive content, or anything resembling law enforcement plates.
  • Character limit: generally 7 characters on a large plate, 5 on a small plate (specialty plates with extra graphics may differ).

How to order

First, check availability on SGI's Slogan Availability Search. Then choose how to submit your request:

  • Visit a SGI motor licence issuer near you with a completed form
  • Mail the form with a cheque or money order to: SGI Personalized Plates, 2260 11th Ave., Regina, SK S4P 2N7
  • Fax to 306-775-6681 or email to persplate@sgi.sk.ca (include a daytime phone number for credit card payment)

Delivery

Once processed, your plate arrives by mail in 4-6 weeks. When it arrives, visit a motor licence issuer to register it to your vehicle, get an updated registration certificate, and notify your insurance broker of the new plate number if you have extended coverage.

Slogans inactive for five years may be released back to the general public for reuse.
